Early education is important for all children not only in China, but for the rest of the world. Science states that apparently, memories acquired during at the age of 3 three years of age are retained longer in their consciousness even into adulthood. Thus Therefore, preparation in terms of learning is really vital and should be taken seriously and handled sensitively. In China, there are three levels or types of early childhood education for children below six years old. These include nursery, kindergarten, and elementary education. China prep school is a concerted effort between the government and other public and private social institutions.

The Nursery Level

On the average, children above two years old are qualified to enter nursery level. However, teachers are considered as more of a caregiver rather than teachers as they are focused more on taking care of children rather than teaching them at this age. Because of the lack of resources and local support, nursery students are lumped together with kindergarten pupils in some towns and even cities.

The Kindergarten and Pre-Primary Level

In this country, when you say kindergarten, it points out to a whole day educational program for children between the ages of three to six years old. At this level, children are attended two ways; academic preparation and child care. Basically, kindergarten programs help both employed and unemployed mothers when it comes to education and child rearing learning.

Classes are generally grouped according to age. Government policies dictate the following groupings: juniors for 3 three years old, middle for 4 four years old, and seniors for 5 five years old. The size of the classroom largely depends on the population age. Each classroom employs both a nurse and a teacher. In better off communities, a doctor is also employed which provide health and medical related provision like health examinations, immunization, nutrition and diet planning for the children.

The Pre-Primary Level

This a support level prior to the child’s entrance to formal elementary level. In this level, children attend school for half and put greater emphasis on academic learning rather than on child care. Teachers employ methods usually used in the 1st grade level or higher.

Basic Curriculum of Prep Schools

Children learn the basic language and subjects include: , art, math, art, physical education, music, and general knowledge which include social studies and science. Each subject has specific focuses such as language wherewith where children are taught to read and write basic Chinese characters. During math sessions, children are exposed to a number of recognition and concepts which includes addition. Parents place a huge importance and priority in prep schools because they believe that it will give their children an advantage in the competitive world of Chinese education.

Regular School Hours

School periods are mirror image of the needs of parents whether working or not. Usually, kindergarten classes begin at 8 AM8am. What is interesting is that Then classes are interspersed with play time, thusand, there are some classes which has fifteen sessions per week up to 35 minutes weekly depending on the age or level of the child. In between, children can play, eat, and nap. And Then by 5pmPM, parents can pick up their children up to go home.

4 Ways Military Spouses Can Help Make Ends Meethttp://www.bluegrasspublishing.com/4-ways-military-spouses-can-help-make-ends-meet/ http://www.bluegrasspublishing.com/4-ways-military-spouses-can-help-make-ends-meet/#comments Sat, 11 Oct 2014 22:24:29 +0000 http://www.simplylisten.com/?p=145 spouse

Active-duty service members generally earn modest salaries, and with soldiers frequently serving as the primary breadwinners, military families are struggling to make ends meet. The Department of Defense estimates that military families move 10 times more than the average family, which further compounds financial and budgeting concerns. While military spouses would like to help make ends meet, finding careers, paying for college and obtaining affordable childcare are major roadblocks to achieving this goal. By using the following four resources, military spouses can overcome these obstacles and significantly contribute to managing their family’s finances.

Military Scholarships

Military spouses can help ease the financial burden of pursuing higher education by taking advantage of military dependent scholarships. Spouses and children of military service members are eligible for educational assistance programs, and your spouse may even transfer any unused GI Bill benefits to you or your child. Children may receive GI Bill benefits after the service member has completed 10 years of active-duty service; however, spouses may immediately begin using these funds. Additionally, spouses may use benefits up to 15 years after the spouse’s discharge from active duty. It is important to note, however, that spouses may not use this benefit to receive monthly stipends for books or supplies while the service member is on active duty.

Another benefit available to spouses and children is Survivors and Dependents Education Assistance (DEA). You may qualify for this benefit if the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has declared your spouse permanently and totally disabled due to a service-connected disability, or has died from any other cause while this disability existed. Spouses and children of service members who are missing in action or were captured in the line of duty may also receive this benefit. You can apply for DEA by filling out VA Form 22-5490, Application for Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance.

You may also be able to earn up to $4,000 in tuition assistance through the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA). To qualify for this, you must be a spouse of an active-duty service member in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2 or O1-O2. Additional requirements include completion of your course within three years, which must also be during the time your spouse is activated under Title 10 orders. You may apply for this benefit online by starting a MyCAA account.

Career-Training Opportunities

One of the greatest financial obstacles facing military spouses is finding a way to land a high-paying job while frequently relocating to different states. Services such as Military Spouse Educational and Career Opportunities (SECO) help ease this burden by offering training and career-licensing opportunities to military spouses. You can receive one-on-one assistance by calling 1-800-342-9647 and speaking with a counselor. These advisors will provide free advice on finding a job, receiving training and transferring your professional license to the state you are moving to. The new State Licensing Initiative now allows employers in most states to hire employees while they are working toward obtaining the additional licensing requirements needed in that particular state.

You may also receive additional help by attending a Hiring Our Heroes event in your area. By attending one of these events, you can receive help with resume writing, certification and licensing, job training and entrepreneurship advice.

Childcare Assistance Programs

For working spouses of military members, childcare costs can make managing finances extremely challenging. Easing this financial burden can lead to dramatic savings and give you more financial freedom to pursue your career goals. Childcare assistance is available through programs such as the Armed Forces YMCA, which partners with local military leaders to offer low or no-cost childcare as well as youth and teen programs.

If you are a VA employee, you may also be eligible to have up to 45 percent of your summer childcare costs paid for. VA employees with children under the age of 13 or a disabled child under the age of 18 should apply for this benefit by submitting a VA Form 0730h for each month of childcare received. Contact the human resources representative in your office to find out if your VA organization participates in this program.

Financial Counseling Services

One perk of being a military spouse is that you can receive free financial counseling. Whereas civilian families must pay for these services, military families have a wealth of financial resources available to them at no cost. Each branch of the military offers financial classes on topics such as recordkeeping, managing credit cards, planning for deployment and budgeting. You may also receive individual financial counseling on topics ranging from military-savings programs to debt repayment. These services are available through the Military Installations website. You may also contact Military OneSource by calling 800-342-9637.

Military spouses are important assets to keeping a military family’s finances in order. Fortunately, there are many available resources to assist spouses in managing their finances, and creating a stable and worry-free financial future.

How To Teach Your Kids To Be Safehttp://www.bluegrasspublishing.com/how-to-teach-your-kids-to-be-safe/ http://www.bluegrasspublishing.com/how-to-teach-your-kids-to-be-safe/#comments Sun, 25 May 2014 13:17:39 +0000 http://www.simplylisten.com/?p=116  It’s a scary world out there, especially if you’re a parent, as little kids have a habit of getting themselves into trouble. You can’t wrap them in bubble wrap and be there for them at all times, so you’ll have to sit down with them and teach them some basic safety tips so they know how to react in potentially dangerous situations. Kids need to know who they can trust when you’re not there, and how where they should go if they are lost, especially if you end up separated from your children whilst on holiday.

So, here are the top 5 tips for teaching your child safety:

Stranger Danger

With all the horrible stories of child abduction in the news lately, we are reminded we need to teach our kids that old rule of “Stranger Danger”. Children’s charity Faith in Families recommends not to instil a fear of all strangers into your kids, at it discourages interaction and communication, but do teach your kids to look out for the warning signs; don’t go away with a stranger, don’t eat or drink from a stranger before your parents know, and keep an eye out for anyone suspicious or lingering – make sure they know to tell an adult.

Keep Adults Informed

UK security firm Custodian Guards tells us adults tend to put too much trust in so called “secure” and familiar buildings, such as hotels and shopping centres.  Letting your child roam free to play is important, but make sure they know to tell you where they are going and who they are with. That way you always know where to search for them, and you can recommend they stay away from places that might be dangerous like balconies and staircases.

Educate your Kids

Kids do often get lost, it’s almost natural, especially if they’re quite adventurous – then even the most vigilant parent can lose track! It can be a frightening time, but as long as your child knows the following, you’ll soon be reunited:

  • If your kids get lost, recommend they stay where they are initially – you’re likely to be aware they’re missing quite quickly, so you can retrace your steps and be reunited. A child who is wandering looking for it’s parent however, can get even more lost in it’s stress.
  • Show your kids who the officials in the area are so they can go to them if they get separated from you or hurt. This could be policemen or staff in a shopping centre.
  • Finally, set a meeting place for older kids. Point out a specified monument that’s easy to find, ideally somewhere where smaller kids can find a higher place to climb where they can be easily spotted. If you are separated, everyone can make his or her way to the monument.
  • It’s controversial, but sometimes it’s a good idea to give slightly older children a basic phone. Nothing expensive, as it can be a target for theft, but they can call you if something happens.

Why You Should Make Children Puzzlehttp://www.bluegrasspublishing.com/why-you-should-make-children-puzzle/ http://www.bluegrasspublishing.com/why-you-should-make-children-puzzle/#comments Mon, 19 May 2014 09:10:28 +0000 http://www.simplylisten.com/?p=109 children_puzzle

Researching in collaboration with psychologist some reasons why children should do puzzles, we discovered that not only is beneficial to the individual that the little ones play with puzzles, but also is a fantastic exercise to promote socialization and strengthen family ties with parents and siblings.

Today television and new technologies occupy much of the play activity of more kids in the house. However, it must be time for everything and also leisure can engage in sports and other activities and games.

We have summarized these findings in the psychological benefits the family game:

Parents are an essential aspect when a child plays, as are its referent, which teach you how and what to play, to give her toys and explain its operation. Through play, parents help children develop imagination and socialization. The game makes improve parent-child relationship. Also, with siblings, makes know each other and improve the relationship between them. Puzzle Reviews will give parents a good idea about the puzzle games. Which one should choose for his child.

Playing the children feel that their parents are not just an authority figure is present in their education, but also in the fun and enjoyment. This is also an important way of expressing affection.

If a child completes a puzzle or a piece well positioned, and adults congratulate him thus help improve their self-esteem and motivation. The positive feeling that occurs in the child makes me want to repeat more often and more forcefully confront to new challenges and activities.

Playing with children is a way to meet their needs and interests, because children tend to express their feelings and concerns through play. The game also shows what are the skills, limitations and strengths of children , what parent is a valuable information about the skills, tastes and character of their children.

Play is a great way to learn from each other, because the children can teach parents things throughout the game, like the parents teach their children. It is a source of experimentation and knowledge of oneself and those around him , both with parents and with siblings as they learn to play together and be seen among them. Also become aware of the group membership.  They also learn to relate, to respect and enforce social norms to better integrate into the group.

Let’s see why the puzzles are a perfect entertainment for children and youth:

  • With puzzles, children observe and explore the objects that have around improving their attention and concentration.
  • They learn to control themselves and think before acting.
  • Develop spatial vision and cognitive skills, learning concepts of different subjects that relates the puzzle (objects, animals, landscapes, etc..)
  • Improve perceptual reasoning and math skills as well as problem solving .
  • They develop fine motor skills, ie the small manipulative movements , such as writing, as they have to put small pieces in place with great skill and precision .
  • They develop coordination and visual-motor, which is the same, which connects the hand with the eye.
  • Increase their ability to take something general specific information, and vice versa: for something specific (such as one piece) built the whole (the completed puzzle). With the overall image have to locate each of the pieces and get them form the model, ie, they learn to synthesize information received from the environment.

In conclusion, the important thing in the game is not the end result, who wins or who loses, but the whole process and the time that has been shared. Finally, it is important to note that not only is necessary to play in family, children must also learn to play alone and with peers.
